Finding a bed, what does medical law have to do with it?
Welcome back to the ADC Spotlight podcast, the Archives of Disease in Childhood podcast covering areas that don’t usually get much attention or might be taken for granted in children's health. This month, Dr Rachel Agbeko, Senior Editor of ADC, is joined by Mr Robert Wheeler, paediatric and neonatal surgeon and honorary senior lecturer in medical law (1) to discuss the shortage of clinical provision, and the placements for children requiring assessment and treatment for mental illness. Read the paper 'Providing beds for children' for free for one month on the ADC website: https://adc.bmj.com/content/107/2/114 and on the February's issue. More from the author about clinical law and ethics: https://blogs.bmj.com/medical-ethics/2022/05/01/law-ethics-basic-science/ The ADC Spotlight series is produced by Letícia Amorim and edited by Brian O'Toole.
